BTC ePlug Smart Socket

ePlug smart socket, is the basic component of electrical control in home automation.
It provides remote control, automatic schedule control, and timer control.
Through the App, users can observe the electrical power and use of electrical energy on the socket, to do analysis, comparison, to reach energy-saving purpose.

BTC ePlug Smart Socket Features

  • Use the BTC ePlug app
    • The socket can be turned on/off remotely.
    • Displays the electrical power and the electricity usage of the appliance on the socket.
    • You can set 12 schedules to turn the socket on or off at a specified time of the week.
    • The timer function can be set to turn on or off the socket after a certain period of time.
  • Button to turn on or off the socket
  • When the electrical appliance on the socket consumes more power than it is rated, the socket will be automatically switched off.
  • Electrical characteristics:  
    • Input voltage : 100 - 240V AC.
    • Maximum power of load : 1500 watts. For more than 1500 watts, the ePlug switch socket off automatically.

Binding, settings：

  1. Download the ePlug app.
  2. Open the app, register, and sign in to the app.
  3. Click "Device" on the home page and the app lists all scanned ePlug devices.
  4. Select your ePlug device and go to the settings page. You can change the device name, set the Wifi SSID, enter the Wifi password, and click "Write to ePlug" to complete the setup.
  5. At this point, the app binds this ePlug device.
  6. After that only the ePlug app, which logs on to the account of the bound device, can control the device.
 

Unbinding :

  • The ePlug can be unbound by pressing the button on ePlug continuously for more than 10 seconds. After that, you can no longer operate the device with the app. You can rebind ePlug again.

Remote control :

  • You can press the button on the ePlug to turn the socket on/off.

Scheduler and Timer :

  • Use the ePlug app to set the scheduler and timer functions of the ePlug socket.

  • The timer function can be set to turn the socket on or off after a certain period of time.

Electricity information :

  • The ePlug app regularly updates the electrical power and electricity usage of the appliance on the socket.
  • You can set the start time, and the ePlug accumulates the electricity used since then.
  • The app displays the electricity usage for the past few hours graphically .
